Production Jobs

It takes the whole cast and their families to pull off a SMASH production.  Think of it like a homeschool co-op.  Most co-ops ask each family to pitch in and teach a class, watch children, prepare food....This is like that.  In fact, even the student actors take on some of the technical roles.  We realize that students, or parents,  may not know exactly how to do the job, but that's what this experience is about.  We are here to teach you both theater performance and production.  In the end, many students discover new talents!

Actors who take on a job outside of acting are eligible for a certificate for their portfolio or volunteer hours for high school students.

The handbook describes a number of roles which suit a variety of skill or interest levels. Please remember though, while SMASH has been around a while, it doesn't mean we always have to do everything the same way every time.  The beautiful thing about this group is that it changes with the people who participate.  Every family brings its unique set of gifts, talents and insights to the stage and helps SMASH change and grow into a fun and exciting experience.  If you'd like to get involved, contact us at or visit our facebook page.
